Wow, it's hard to believe that 2007 is drawing to a close as I type. This year has gone very quick. Unfortunately we had to cancel our plans tonite because we are all fighting a cold (Jason's not but he is taking care of us : ) So we grilled burgers and we are playing games. Jason, Adam and Allie are playing Candy land right now. It sounds like they are having a great time! I thought I would blog about the highlights we had from 2007:
~ finding out we were expecting our third child
~ seeing Mary Beth in the spring when she came to Houston (I was so sick when she came, but I am crazy about her and love to sit and chat with her - she has the most hilarious stories)
~ taking a wonderful vacation to Sanibel Island just me, Jason, Adam and Allie - we had a wonderful time!
~ seeing Grandma Ruby and Aunt Carole (Jason's gma and aunt) while we were in Florida on vacation - they are real gems and a joy to be around. They are really crazy about Jason and it is cute to see them together. It is also wonderful memories for our children as most people don't have the privilege of knowing their great-grandmas.
~ meeting Miss Ava Kate our precious third born child. She is a joy in our lives and just full of smiles. She is crazy about her big brother and big sister and already finds them very amusing.
~ we had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas with our families filled with lots of love and laughter.
God is good. We really had a year of endless blessings. At each point of need God met us at that place. He really is The Everlasting God. As this year draws to a close I pray that each of you looks forward to the new year with great anticipation for all that God has in store.
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9

Happy Birthday Mom
Today we celebrated my mom's 50th birthday! We had a wonderful time. We went to lunch at the Charleston Tea Room (her favorite!). Then we went to dinner at BJ's and then home for cake and presents. The kids had a great time singing (they've been singing all day!) So here's to my mom... thanks for being the most selfless mom that anyone could ask for. (you are a tough act to follow!) You are such a tremendous help to Jason and me. I don't know what we would do without you. May you have many more blessed years to come. Until next year......
May blessings shine upon you, by the grace of God above, and may you find His greatest gift is how much you are loved.

Happy Birthday Jesus!!
What a wonderful day we have had. Boy am I exhausted!! Santa arrived late last night and we were up around 7 to see what he had brought. Adam was very excited and into opening all the gifts. He was really cute to watch. Allie wasn't as excited. She would half open a few things and then go to the kitchen and see what's for breakfast. Adam ended up opening most of her presents for her. She had told Santa that all she wanted for Christmas was gum so once she found the gum and some chapstick (another one of her most favorite things) she was finished and ready to start the day. Adam couldn't get enough. He loved the excitement of opening things and wanted to help everyone open their gifts. (He just asked me is there was anything else to open as he sits and does his new lite brite.) Ava just watched in amazement at all the excitement. She loved a little beaded circle toy that Santa brought her. She is starting to grab things and look at her hands. Such a sweet baby. It was really a wonderful day. It was great to spend time with family and celebrate the birth of Jesus. I'll post more later about the week and Christmas eve. Happy Birthday Jesus!

Little Miss Ava
What a doll baby she is! She is three months old now and such a sweet baby. She loves to give lots of smiles especially to Adam and Allie. She gives Jason belly laughs - looks like she'll be a daddy's girl like Allie. I took her for her three month pictures yesterday and she she was giving lots of smiles. Too precious. I have really enjoyed everyday with her. I guess by the third child you really do understand just how quickly it goes. I haven't wished for the next phase only for this one to last a little longer. I haven't even wished she would sleep through the night. I guess I just know eventually she will and I'll miss my special time with her.
She likes to suck her thumb even though I prefer she didn't. She will take a pacifier but if she loses it in goes her thumb. So, I think that I'm gaining some ground because I'm really watching her and helping her with the pacifier. Yesterday she was napping in her bouncy seat and I go to check in her and well, the picture speaks for itself.
Adam thought she might like to play with a baby doll so he found one for her. She seemed to like it! I may get a girly girl after all. I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas season. We are having a ball. We've gone to parades and carnivals, live nativities, tonight we will see Santa. It has been a wonderful time of celebrating the birth of Christ. Blessings to all.

My First Blog
I know, I know I'm very much behind the techno times. I've just started reading blogs in the last few months and I kept thinking - I should do that. So, here I am. I'm excited to share our wonderful (and often chaotic) journey with you. I hope to post often to share our daily adventures but with three small children, well you know! I hope you are having a blessed day. We are praying for cold weather but we may have a warm Christmas. Either way it will be a wonderful birthday for Jesus. Until later....
